Prince Albert Forklift Instructor Training - Forklift Instructor training certification is recommended for forklift operators who wish to become instructors. In order to qualify for forklift instructor training, operators should be able to prove they have a high level of knowledge regarding forklift machines and have good lift truck driving skills. Instructor training usually is held at an equipment sales facility or at the campus of a community college, junior college, or technical or vocational school. Forklift manufacturing companies occasionally provide hands-on, train the trainer, practical courses.

The trainee registers for the program, they would be needed to pay the tuition fee, buy books, manuals and other course materials, regardless of whether they are being instructed within a classroom setting or at the facilities of a particular manufacturing company. Course length varies depending on the program. Participants generally should have satisfactory demonstration, test scores and participation throughout the program in order to qualify for trainer certification.

It is assumed that the trainee taking the instructor program would have past experience utilizing forklifts. It is required to perform some self-study of the equipment and instruction manuals. The trainers would in the end be responsible for making their own curriculum which satisfies specific guideline regulations in terms of the topics presented, such as Operation and Safety. For example, the subject of Safety has to include an understanding of how to identify potential hazards. The subject of Operation consists of instruction regarding instruments and controls, maneuvering ans steering, and attaching and using the fork.
